Thank You Card Gift Box
mini tutorial:
Finished product can be opened as an easel to display items.
Supplies: One 12 x12" black cardstock
Two 8 1/2 x 11" coordinating cardstcok (I used green)
Pattern paper of choice. I used Anna Griffin's 6x6 Juliet paper pad
Embellish as desired. I used all my scraps and added dimensional flower stickers from Anna Griffin. This particular size will hold Anna's Fantastic Flip cards.
Use one piece of 12x12 cardstock cut down to: 6 3/4" x 12" for the base.
Score base length-ways/horizontally at 5",6" and 11 1/2"
Use remaining scrap to make the box as an attachment. Cut down to 10" x 5 1/4"
Score attachment length-ways/horizontally at 1/2", 1 1/2", 8 1/2" & 9 1/2"
Next, rotate and score vertically at 1"
Burnish all score marks. *Tip: make folds with score mark on the inside.
Trim out bottom corners, and cut on 1 1/2" & 8 1/2" score marks as shown in the picture above to make small flaps. You will want to miter your corners on the flaps. Add adhesive to the 1/2' sides and the 2 small tabs. As well as the small 1/2" end of the base, that will join the bottom pieces together.
Pen holder: Use last scrap piece cut down to 1 1/4" x 1 7/8"
Score length-ways horizontally at 1/4", 3/4", 1 1/8" and 1 5/8"
Burnish score marks. Add adhesive to end score marks. Place according to pen size on the inside spine of the flap/box.
